Silver 1944-P Jefferson "war" nickel graded Mint State 65 by Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS). This coin is part of an 11 coin set from 1942-1945 that are the only nickel dates to contain silver in United States history. In the early 1940's the U.S. Mint changed the composition of the 5 cent coin to include approximately 35% silver in an effort to conserve the metal nickel for the war. This coin was minted in Philadelphia hence the "P" mint mark.
